Terms of Service
Last updated: June 18, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Sittership. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Sittership.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for all activity under your account. Keep your login credentials secure.
What Sittership does
Sittership is a private coordination tool. A household posts a babysitting need to the sitters it has already approved, and the first approved sitter to accept is booked. It is not a public marketplace: there is no sitter discovery, no public profiles, and no ratings.
No vetting — your responsibility
Sittership does not vet, certify, screen, interview, or background-check sitters or households. Households approve their own sitters and are solely responsible for evaluating, selecting, and supervising anyone they invite or accept. You are responsible for arranging care, agreeing on pay, and complying with applicable laws. Sittership is a coordination tool only and is not a party to any arrangement between households and sitters.
Acceptable use
- Do not use Sittership for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purpose.
- Do not attempt to access data belonging to other households or users.
- Do not misuse, disrupt, or attempt to reverse engineer the service.
Your content
You retain ownership of the information you submit. You grant Sittership the limited rights needed to operate the service (for example, to store your data and deliver notifications). You are responsible for the content you share, including any information about children, and confirm you have the right to share it.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Sittership is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sittership is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for the acts or omissions of any household or sitter. Your decisions about care and the people you trust with it are yours alone.
Termination
You may stop using Sittership and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated or to protect the service and its users.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above; continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
